The New Jersey Nets aren’t the same squad that teams were walking over earlier in the season. The wins are still rare but the Nets are playing better basketball. Over the last three games against Washington, Philadelphia and Detroit, the Nets haven’t lost a game by more than four points. Brook Lopez has been playing at a high level all year putting up David Lee type stats. Devin Harris returned from a four game absence and put up 24pts and 14asts against the Pistons yesterday. The Nets aren’t a team anyone can take lightly anymore without getting burned.
Not including tonight, the Raptors play three games at home over the next fifteen days. That’s alot of downtime between games. The All-Star weekend will give every team a break but February is a light month for the Raptors. With the next few games against teams below the .500 mark, Toronto has a chance to create some separation between them and the other teams fighting to get into the playoffs.

Big thanks for the games, as always.
Will you cap the all-star game? in your inimitably efficient capping fashion that is, i know there will be lots of downloads available everywhere, but the quality/size of your caps makes it more attractive for me.
Just read on Doug Smith’s blog CB4 will be assistant coach of the sophomores at the all-star weekend. I guess that’s pretty cool.
Just thought I’d also ask you, what chronicler do you consider is the best out there raptor and non-raptor-wise?

@squarepush7r: I wish there was more Raptor content for ASW but I’ll probably get the events anyway. I think Doug does the best job covering the Raps but he rubs some people the wrong way. Michael Grange is another good writer at the Globe. Eric Smith and Paul Jones do alot with their blogs and radio shows and do a good job of updating fans through twitter. I also like Holly MacKenzie’s practice blog, a good supplement to the practice videos.
For non-raptor news, I generally rely on Inside Hoops and SI twitter feeds and not a specific writer but I also keep an eye out for anything from Adrian Wojnarowski at Yahoo.

Here are the rapidshare links. Use 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/ as usual to extract the files. If you do not have a premium account just put the links in JDownloader http://jdownloader.org/ and let it do the hard work for you (but remove the HJSplit extension!). Probably not faster than using bittorrent but works across firewalls.
