Vegas Summer League – Toronto vs Phoenix

Got a couple of requests for this game so I’m not sure what the interest is but here it is anyway. The game wasn’t in HD so you’ll have to put up with standard definition. If anyone has the time and bandwidth, I’d appreciate it if one of you could upload it to rapidshare or the like and post the links in the comments.

    Final game of the season?

    New York Knicks Toronto Raptors

This game doesn’t matter to the Knicks other than it will finally herald the offseason for them where every big name free agent will be knocking down the door to MSG. For the Raptors however, the game carries playoff implications. Their destiny is no longer in their hands but in the hands of the Charlotte Bobcats. If the Bobcats win tonight and the Raptors win, the Raps will be in the playoffs. Whether that would be a worthwhile experience without Bosh in the lineup against the Cavs is a debate for another day. A good effort tonight will help alleviate some of the bitterness from the post all-star break collapse, at least until tomorrow.

    Pistons playing out the string

    Toronto Raptors Detroit Pistons

The Raptors are in Detroit to take on the Pistons who are sitting in last place in the Central Division and in the running for a top five pick in the draft. It’s a far cry from where Joe Dumars expected the team to finish after bringing over Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva in an attempt to revitalize the franchise. The Pistons have suffered various injuries to most of the starting lineup throughout the season and never really got a chance to get in a groove. Dumars doesn’t have a lot of cap space to play with but he does have Tayshaun Prince’s $11 million expiring contract and a high draft pick to reload and come back strong next year.
