Raps take on best in the East

Toronto Raptors Cleveland Cavaliers

Toronto is in Cleveland tonight to take on the Cavs who are 14-3 at home. With the Cavs not having played since last Saturday, chances are the Raps aren’t going to win this game. Maybe they’ll pull another Orlando and surprise everybody, that’s why we watch the games.

The story in Cleveland has the players talking about paying the Raptors back for the early season defeat in Toronto. Not much else going on tonight with only two games league wide. Hopefully the Raps can put in a good showing before getting ready for Milwaukee tomorrow.

Can Raps keep Dirk in check?

Dallas Mavericks Toronto Raptors

The Dallas Mavericks are one of the better road teams in the NBA with a 13-6 record away from home. The Raptors are making strides in becoming a better road team but they’re at home today to try and get another win against a team in the upper echelon of the league. There are a couple of interesting side stories in today’s matchup. One is the return of Shawn Marion who many thought would be wearing a Raptors jersey this year. But all eyes will probably be on Dirk Nowitzki and Andrea Bargnani. Andrea is playing some of his best basketball especially on the defensive side and he’ll need to be at his best today if the Raptors are going to have a chance against the Mavs.

Italian Heritage Night in NY

Toronto Raptors New York Knicks

I imagine Italian basketball fans are pretty excited for this game. There will probably be moments where we’ll see Belinelli, Bargnani and Gallinari on the floor at the same time. Should be interesting to say the least. Read more about it here.

The Raptors are about to begin a busy week after three days off. Tonight’s game kicks off a stretch of five games in seven nights. Some of those nights, the Raps will probably look like the team that played in Indiana but if they’re serious about being better than a .500 team, they’ll have to play like they did in Orlando more often.
