Toronto looking to improve road record

Tonight’s game against the Pacers should feel familiar to Raptor fans. The Pacers have the same record as the Sixers at 11-25. Unlike the Sixers, the Pacers are a better home team. Toronto struggled against Philly until they woke up and played some defense in the second half. If they come out with the same lackadaisical attitude tonight, they may find themselves too far behind to make a second half push.

Raps hoping to end Celtic streak

Boston is in town to begin the first of two back-to-backs this week. They’ll play Atlanta tomorrow, a team they just lost to on Friday after letting up defensively in the second half. Toronto hasn’t played well against Boston for a while now having lost six straight games. The last loss coming against a Celtics team without Rondo, Pierce and Garnett in the lineup. If they want to avoid extending that streak to seven, they’ll have to show the kind of toughness that was glaring in its absence in Boston last Saturday.

Raptors in Philly tonight
The Raptors are in Philadelphia tonight to take on the 10-26 76ers in the first of four meetings. Toronto has played only three games so far against teams in the Atlantic division, and two of those games were against Boston. With games still to come against the Knicks and Nets as well as the Sixers, the Raps have an opportunity to pad their win total. That said, Toronto has shown a knack for dropping games they were expected to win. With last week’s debacle in Boston still fresh in their minds, let’s see if they can take care of business against the Sixers.
