Thunder to face a different Raps team with Bosh back

Oklahoma City Thunder Toronto Raptors

Durant’s team had won five straight before losing to the Bobcats on Wednesday. His team is expecting him to bounce back after a poor shooting night where he went 9-26 from the field and missed all 7 of his three point attempts. Like the Raptors, the Thunder are scoreboard watching after every game. They’re tied for fifth in the West with Phoenix and only a game and a half ahead of eighth-place Portland.

The last time the Raptors played the Thunder, six players from OKC scored in double figures and the Raps were never really in it. That was during the stretch of games without Bosh in the lineup. Now that the Raps have their go to guy back and with each game getting closer to the player he was before the all-star break, Toronto should be able to present a challenge to the playoff-bound Thunder.

Raptors looking to slow down Durant

Toronto Raptors Oklahoma City Thunder

Let’s just pretend that’s a Thunder logo.

Kevin Durant is 0.3ppg behind LeBron James for the scoring title. After going 23-59 last year, he has his team firmly in the playoff race and is a legitimate MVP candidate. A big reason for the turnaround is also the improved play of Russel Westbrook who’s putting up 16ppg, 8asts and 5rebs.

Bosh won’t play for at least the next two games and if the team doesn’t find a way to win without him, they may find themselves looking up at the playoff race. Chicago and Milwaukee are within a game and a half of the Raptors and Miami is three games back.
